About alex

MEET THE FOUNDER

My name is Alex Mitchell, and I’m a young entrepreneur who grew up in Garnet Valley.

As a competitive swimmer, I learned the importance of discipline and perseverance early on, qualities that have shaped my personal and professional life.

I later developed a passion for cooking, where attention to detail and creativity became essential.

After serving in the military, I sought a new way to combine these experiences and give back to the community.

That’s when I founded AW Locksmith—to bring my dedication, precision, and commitment to service to homes and businesses across Chester County and parts of Delaware County. As a veteran, I’m proud to continue serving with the same values that guided me in uniform.

My elderly parents had a front door problem which prevented them from exiting through that door. I called Alex and he was at their house within the hour, ordered the part and was out the next day to fix the lock. Great prompt, professional, personal service.
Highly recommended!

We had an unusual situation with one of our clients and needed a locksmith who was willing to work with us on a less traditional installation. Our client wanted to add smart-lock functionality to their home, but due to Homeowners Association requirements, they needed to maintain the exact exterior appearance of their existing door hardware.

The solution was a Level Bolt, a unique smart lock that installs completely inside the door and replaces the internal deadbolt mechanism. Unlike most smart locks, there is no bulky keypad, battery compartment, or electronic hardware visible on the inside or outside of the door. This allowed our client to gain the convenience and functionality of a smart lock while keeping their existing lock, handle, and overall appearance unchanged.

The locksmith did an exceptional job with the installation. He understood exactly what we were trying to accomplish, worked carefully with the existing hardware, and made sure everything operated properly when the job was complete.

Just as importantly, the entire experience was excellent from start to finish. Prompt service, excellent workmanship, great communication, and extremely easy to work with. As a technology company, we appreciate working with other professionals who understand that sometimes a project requires a little creativity and attention to detail rather than simply installing the standard solution.

We couldn't have been happier with the result, and most importantly, our client was extremely pleased.

We would absolutely recommend them and will not hesitate to call again when we need locksmith services for one of our clients.

Five stars without question!
